Parent Teacher Organization

The Maize ECC PTO is focused on supporting and enhancing the educational experiences at Maize ECC. The education, safety, and well-being of all our students and staff members is our primary concern. We strive to help Maize ECC provide the best learning atmosphere and educational experience by coordinating volunteers to support the Maize ECC staff and providing much needed resources.

The Maize ECC PTO encourages social and academic activities throughout the year. Parents, school, teachers, and administration can work cooperatively to enhance the educational opportunities at the school by volunteering through the PTO to assist in opportunities to promote the health, safety, and education of our students.

We are able to provide resources by hosting our big annual fundraiser in the fall. PTO also sells Spirit Wear Shirts and has various Spirit Nights throughout the year.

The PTO has volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including providing in-class assistance, helping with the library and nurse's office tasks, assisting with class parties and events, providing food for conferences in the fall/spring, quarterly teacher treats, monthly mailbox treats, spirit nights and, of course, with our big fall fundraiser. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form at this link or email the PTO to get on the mailing list.

Maize Education Foundation

It takes a lot to carry out our mission, and there are many ways you can support the Maize Education Foundation!

DonateYour donations help provide the Foundation with the funds it needs to maintain its operations while providing grants and supporting programs throughout the Maize School District.

While Maize Schools celebrate achievements and high performance in academics, arts, and group activities, there are still challenges to face. A significant number of students come to school without supplies and food. The rapid growth in enrollment causes increased challenges on staff and strains resources to support special services and the social-emotional needs of our students.

VolunteerWe are looking for passionate individuals to volunteer with the Maize Education Foundation!  Your support helps us continue to empower students and enhance educational opportunities in the Maize School District.

Whether you're interested in joining our Board of Directors, reviewing grant and scholarship applications, assisting at events, providing feedback, or participating in focus groups, there are plenty of ways to get involved and make a difference in our community. There is truly something for everyone!

Volunteer Background Checks

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Maize USD 266! Our schools are stronger thanks to the help and support of our community members, and our students benefit from this relationship.

Safety is a top priority for the district. Background checks are required and must be completed annually. All visitors moving beyond a school front office and its secure vestibule will also complete a Raptor Visitor Management System screening and a temporary visitor’s self-adhesive name tag printed each time they visit.

To volunteer at Maize Early Childhood Center:

Self-Pay: Please click here to begin your Self-Pay background check process through the National Screening Bureau. After providing some information about yourself, you will be prompted to pay $24.50 by credit or debit card on a secure system, and you will receive a receipt via email. (The National Screening Bureau uses a secure server and cutting-edge screening technology in order to protect your privacy.)

District-Paid: Maize Schools does not wish to discourage any potential volunteer from getting involved in our classrooms and with our students volunteers. Please click here to begin the same background process at no cost to yourself, and Maize USD 266 will pay for your background screening.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and district!
